Hafary House

Beyond the Surface. Beyond the Ordinary

The design ethos at HAFARY HOUSE revolves around presenting materials in their purest, most evocative state. Tiles are showcased with an industrial treatment—edges left exposed, surfaces sandblasted, and textures juxtaposed—to highlight the robust beauty inherent in each piece. Visitors can trace the unique journey of each material, from its rough, unrefined beginnings to its final, sophisticated application

From the moment guests step inside, they are immersed in a setting that celebrates the unique beauty of construction and the artistry of raw materiality.

The design ethos at HAFARY HOUSE revolves around presenting materials in their purest, most evocative state. Visitors can trace the unique journey of each material, from its rough, unrefined beginnings to its final, sophisticated application.

Stepping into HAFARY HOUSE, guests are greeted by a striking mosaic feature wall that proudly displays the Hafary logo, composed of sandblasted tiles set on a mesh. This bold installation sets the tone for the entire experience: raw, experimental, and confidently expressive. The reception counter, constructed from stacked tiles with exposed edges, creates an undulating, tactile façade that invites touch and curiosity. Guiding visitors through the space, sleek stainless steel fins highlight tile edges and serve as both wayfinding elements and sculptural accents.

The space is meticulously designed to spark imagination. Two secondary showrooms—dedicated to sanitary ware and wood-based materials—extend the theme of material exploration. In the Wood Culture section, wood-textured tiles and vinyl are showcased in unique applications, such as slanted, full-height fins that amplify the grain and depth of the material.
Meanwhile, the sanitary area incorporates metal-finished pipes as bold, structural plinths that frame tile displays and evoke the raw energy of manufacturing. Above, an intricate ceiling feature crafted from repurposed stone straps weaves through the showroom, creating a cohesive visual language that ties together different zones while maintaining a sense of industrial harmony. This suspended element pays homage to the craftsmanship and attention to detail embedded in every aspect of HAFARY HOUSE.

Level 3 of HAFARY HOUSE is dedicated to HAFARY Home, an inspiring showcase of curated furniture and thematic living spaces that extend beyond tile displays to complete home settings. Here, visitors can see how materials are applied in imaginative yet functional ways, fostering a deeper appreciation for design that transcends traditional boundaries.
Each vignette, from Art Deco elegance to Japanordic simplicity, embodies a distinct aesthetic, encouraging homeowners to envision and personalise their own spaces. By blending textures, styles, and materials, HAFARY HOUSE empowers visitors to push the envelope of creativity and discover new design possibilities that suit their lifestyles and personalities.

HAFARY HOUSE at Jalan Besar invites architects, designers, and homeowners alike to engage with materiality on a new level. This is a place where the industrial roots of the neighbourhood resonate through, where the spirit of experimentation leads to endless inspiration.

Come and explore HAFARY HOUSE—a space where imagination, texture, and raw energy come together to redefine what it means to design with purpose and curiosity.
